So nice to see everyone last week! Newcomers, be sure to check out our favorite resources.
Vinnie Tortorich spoke at KetoCon and introduced the trailer to his new new documentary, Fat. We just watched it this morning and it’s very nicely done. Lots of history about how we got into the low fat guidelines along with words of wisdom from many of today’s low carb ketogenic gurus. Dietdoctor gives the scoop with all the links where you can find it.
Someone asked about a good movie for teenagers and it made me think of Fat Chance: Can You Ride a Bike Across Australia without Carbs? You can find that one on Dietdoctor too, or it’s also found on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irRDbjG82tw.
Is your doctor on board with a low carb ketogenic way of eating? Bret Scher is a cardiologist who blogs and does the dietdoctor podcasts. His suggestions about talking with our doctors about low carb/high fat eating can be found in this article.
I loved this recent article from Gretchen Rubin Why and How I Quit Sugar.
If you have questions, don’t hesitate to contact us! We’re here and we love to see people succeed with this way of eating. Our next meeting is August 27th, 6:30 pm at Unity. If you’re local, I hope we see you there!
Til next time,
